Donna Beagle is most well known for her Scenic Design of Cabaret, which won an award from The Kennedy Center for Theatrical Design Excellence in Scenic Design. She was also hosted by The Kennedy Center where she represented her school, Wayne State University, at The Kennedy Center’s National Conference. She completed her BFA in Theatre Design while attending Southeastern Louisiana University; and her MFA at Wayne State University. Her main focus is creating scenic environments that encapsulate the imagination.
She has worked in many production roles within her higher education career. She does her best to take on each environment with passion and ingenuity. Her aesthetic lends itself to the macabre and desolate atmospheres of the world, becoming known in her circles for her fascination with hard hitting topics. In addition to being a designer, she is also a fabricator of scenic builds and props.
Donna enjoys spending time with her friends and partner between work and commissions. She hopes to expand her knowledge within her field and enjoys learning new techniques. She also hopes to create more personal projects when she can to explore new fabrication techniques and mediums.
